The Entrepreneurs' Pain

Hence of the qualities necessary for an entrepreneur is the willingness to do any task to accomplish the desired aim. For this needs to have lot of flexibility. Try to have a first hand experience of all the activities connected along with your business. In case you need to be a successful entrepreneur, you need to soil your hands. This is the reason why most of the businesses collapse when the second generation takes charge. The first hand knowledge & experience gets while setting up a brand spanking new business, is not simple to gain for a second generation entrepreneur. Hence for a second generation or third generation entrepreneur to become successful, they need to learn & do the most basic level tasks.

To get in to an entrepreneurial mode has to bring in radical alter in one's thinking process, if is coming from an employment background. Lot of people get excited about some business idea & jump in to it. Even after putting in their best efforts they find it hard to succeed. of the reasons is that they haven't come out of the employment mode. Recently I met a successful businessman who was recalling the mistakes they made in the first years of beginning his business. They was holding a high position in of the leading companies in India. They decided on taking voluntary retirement to venture in to business.
Three times they left his job they realized that the people around him used to respect him only because they held a positive position. The first few months in to running his business was frustrating as they was used to getting things done by others at his earlier job. While in his earlier company they had never taken a photocopy by himself, never filed anything personally, never ever worried about dealing with statutory authorities like Service Tax & Sales Tax authorities as there were subordinates who did these jobs for him. They said, "It took sometime for me to understand that in business in the beginning needs to have a first hand knowledge of everything related to the business. This might be obtained only by doing things personally."

Plenty of employees choose to start a business of their own, chiefly to keep away from the pressure at the workplace. No likes to work under some else. But in case you are in a job you have no other option, but to work under someone else. When you start your own business you don't must work under the pressure of a boss. You are your own boss. It looks fascinating, is not it? But there is a flip side to it. As there is no boss there is no to drive you, there is no else to set goals & put targets for you, there is no else to monitor your work, there is no else to discipline you. Hence the chances of failure are high. That is why not plenty of people become successful in business. Only in case you can drive yourself, you can set goals for yourself & strive to accomplish them, only in case you have self-discipline then only you could become successful in any business. When I decided to quit my job & pursue with my business full time, of my senior business leaders gave me an advice, which I think was a million dollar advice. They told me that before I resign from the job, at least set room in my house as an office & have a regular reporting process like that of an office.

Setting discipline for others appears to be simple, but the challenge is always having self-discipline. It is simple to drive & motivate others than keeping yourself driven & motivated. A successful entrepreneur is self-driven, self disciplined & self motivated. You face plenty of challenges. Things may not happen the way you wanted them to. You may find that your designs are not working out. But in case you need to succeed you need to be consistently driven, disciplined & motivated. As I read somewhere the true check of character is the way you behave when every thing is going in the wrong direction for you, when you find that nothing is happening as per your designs, when all situations are turning against you, when you feel there is no to support you. It is not simple. But all successful people have gone through this phase. I call it - 'The Entrepreneur's Pain'. But in case you are Focused, Self Driven & Disciplined you will reach your location.
