Scottish Entrepreneurs: The Beginning of a New Story

Scotland has its fair share of famous entrepreneurs. Locally, they have been the pillars of the traditional business landscape which was heavily dominated by the heavy industry, steel, coal mining, & shipbuilding. There's been some though who have crossed borders, travel through sea & air, & made their mark in other parts of the world. Some of the more notable Scottish entrepreneurs, which some don't even know were of Scottish descent, includes, Alexander Graham Bell - phone, Alexander Fleming - penicillin, James Gordon Bennet, Sr. - New York Herald, David Buick - Buick Motors, Dr. Henry Duncan - first ever savings bank, William Paterson - founded Banks of Scotland & England, & far more.

Scottish entrepreneurs are speedy becoming a major player in the mushrooming number of online entrepreneurs which have collectively generated billions of dollars yearly in revenues. Finding homes in blogs, commercial sites, social networks, & delivering fantastic results with their net promotion campaign, these new breed of Scottish entrepreneurs are quickly making a name for themselves not only in their homeland but all over the globe. & like their whiskey, they have developed a worldwide appeal yet stay distinct to their origins.

Plenty of of Scotland's young entrepreneurs are far away from the traditional business ideas that their forefathers created. Each has their own niche to cater & most dabble in to the creative arts industry. Giving ode to their motherland, plenty of of these creative Scottish entrepreneurs generate unique designs in numerous areas like fashion, rugs, & furniture among others, integrating the wonderful flavors of Scotland.

& as the world turned towards a brand spanking new & thrilling market, the Scottish entrepreneurs were not to be left behind. New names are now beginning to emerge as the new torch bearers of the Kingdom of Scotland. & it is not in the virtual plane where they have forged their brand, they are also being greatly acknowledged in the international scene where world recognized authorities on entrepreneurship gave credence on the achievements of the new breed of entrepreneurs.

 such body of authority is The Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust, where Scottish entrepreneurs were nominated alongside other exceptional entrepreneurs from all over the world. All, Bobby Mitchell, 22, Martin Izod, 25, & Philip Ross, also 25, are in walking for the Youth Business International Entrepreneur of the Year award. This inclusion to a short & prestigious list of nominees is a clear testament of the emergence of new Scottish entrepreneurs prepared to write their own success tales.
