What Does Entrepreneur Mean?

Pose this query online or to any business inclined individual, & you'll get several replies, & most of the time, their answer falls short of what an entrepreneur is about. But they are not to be blamed; it is hard to capture the true essence of being an entrepreneur, much less deliver a comprehensive description that is encased in a single line or. In fact, even a discourse may still come up a bit short on answering the query, what does entrepreneur mean?

Over a definition on the term, what a person would need to fully understand "entrepreneur" is to know what it is about. & through the past years, ever since the term was first coined, its meaning as well as its essence has evolved greatly, maintaining with developments that the market & the commercial industry experiences.

While this stands true until today, an entrepreneur need not generate their own product to be, nor would making a product make an entrepreneur. For example, A businessman sees an existing product, they develops an idea to make it better, assumes the risks in investing his time, efforts, & finances, to undertake that idea, shouldering all the duties of any consequences that may rise from it. The idea then is developed, it now provides more value, bequeathed with innovative upgrades & enhancements, & the consumer market notices these innovations & decides that they needs to have it, then that businessman could then be touted as an entrepreneur.

So what does entrepreneur mean? Early on, an entrepreneur was seen as a businessman, or a manufacturer which ventured in to a new market by generating an original product or service. They were innovators which did not only sense a chance by seeing a necessity, but they can also sometimes generate the necessity or a require. & this was a valuable commodity as they didn't have much competition & would corner the market themselves & build a fortune for themselves.

But that is only the tip of the iceberg. What if, along the process of developing the idea, or when presenting it to the public, the businessman encounters some great difficulties, they quits. Then they cannot be called an entrepreneur. The mere creation of the product stemming from the idea is not to let him be branded as an entrepreneur.

Lacking passion & persistence, a businessman will always stay as a businessman. An entrepreneur is not the profits & losses, they is about achieving his goals, dedicating his own self to reaching that aim & sacrificing what needs to be sacrificed for that aim.
