way to turn your hobby in to a business is to generate content about your topic & turn it in to products to sell. For example, you could write a book or a series of books and/or ebooks. Self-publishing has become technologically available to  somebody who owns a computer.

You can spin off the same content used to generate your book in to other products & services. Teach classes, workshops & boot camps. Set yourself up as a coach or consultant. Promote your own or related products in the back of your books. The lowest priced type of marketing is that for every product you make contains ads for your other products.

Books give you credibility & open doors. I became of the leading authorities in my field after writing a series of books teaching topics that other authors had overlooked or ignored. Because my books & net site got a lot attention, the state of Alaska hired me to generate & deliver a program that was broadcast interactively across the state. & I don't even have a college degree.

You don't must be an author to teach or consult (though it helps get you gigs.) Venues for adult schooling classes are in lots of major cities. Check out Leisure Learning in Houston & Learning Annex in Los Angeles & other cities. You may not earn a large amount from these classes but they do provide a way to reach individuals who might sign up for a weekend workshop or buy a series of books or hire you as a coach.

If writing is not your thing, it is simple to find somebody to write your content for you. Google Amazon's Turk program & you can find workers to do  anything.

Coming up with content for any of the ideas described in this article is much simpler when you are ardent about your topic. So when you are thinking about which hobby or interest to turn in to a business, find the idea that motivates you the most & go for it.
